The Art of Live Selling

Why live sell?

Living selling is a great way to get in front of your customers. It’s an easy way to get to know your customers and have then get to know you. People like to shop when they like, know and trust you; and what better way to make that happen than live selling.

Your live sale is like the store front of your business. Greet them, chat with them, engage with them and of course, be yourself.

How is this your “store front?”

Live selling is one of the best ways to show off your items. It creates more of an in person feel than just posting photos. You have the opportunity to try on items, show off ways to style it and talk about the fit and feel.

When and how do I go live?

Being consistent with your lives it the best way to make sure your customers know where and when to expect you. Pick the best day and time to go live, and stick to your schedule. Of course, we know life happens, and yes you can reschedule, but the more consistent you are, the better chance your customers will remember the where and when.

There are a number of ways to go live. The most common platform is Facebook live. Facebook likes when you use their native platform to go live. So give this a try, purchase number tags to hang on your hangers and just simply go live.

A third-party app called Comment Sold or Sold Live (a Shopify app), allows you to go live using an overlay to show the price, sizing and product number. These two apps then auto invoice your customers, taking away some of that headache for you.

You can also go live on Instagram, TikTok and many mobile apps like Vajro and Comment Sold.

Things to remember

Going live can be nerve wracking and even stressful. But the more you do it, the easier and more comfortable it will become. Prep your live ahead of time, do a giveaway, ask people to comment, and engage and remember to have fun! It’s okay to mess up, you’re human. That’s what your customers like about you!
